Note to Bidders, Electrical Items

1

The law requires that we carry out a Safety Test on electrical appliances fitted with a lead or plug, which is carried out on both your and our behalf by an independent accredited company, namely "Ventureforth Estates Ltd.".

2

If a tested appliance Passes this test it is affixed with a "Pass" sticker stating the date at which the test was carried out. If it fails then the item is affixed with a "Fail" sticker, the cable and plug removed and depending upon instructions from the vendor it will ether be withdrawn or "Sold for spares".

3

Please note that the "Pass" sticker does not guarantee that the item works, merely that it is Safe!

4

Occasionally we may offer for sale some items that do not connect directly to the mains, such as computer parts, disc drives, boards and other industrial peripherals that cannot be tested and you, "The Purchaser", should ensure, prior to bidding for these items, that they are functional for your requirements. Certainly there is no way for us "The Auctioneers", to test these items and unless warranted by the "Vendor" bidding is at your own risk.

5

Clearly if an item is entered by "A Vendor" as being "Warranted as working" we will disclose this either the catalogue (If available) or rostrum and for a period of 24 hours from the purchase date.
